Aadhaar Card Update : How to Change Mobile Number, Address in Aadhaar Card
In today’s time Aadhar Card or it can also be called that Aadhaar Number has become an important document, it verifies your identity along with identifying your address. Apart from the information related to you in the Aadhar card, your biometric information is also there, so it also becomes an important document.
If you want to change details on your Aadhar card including name, date of birth, gender, address and language, you can do the necessary actions through Self Service Update Portal (SSUP). SSUP is a portal for Aadhar card holders to correct or update the address in Aadhaar card without visiting the Aadhaar office, sitting at home. Now under a new rule of UIDAI, Aadhaar card holders will now be able to update more than one detail at a time.
UIDAI wrote on its official Twitter account, “Update your demographic data online through SSUP” and further shared the link of the portal. But keep in mind that a fee of Rs 50 will have to be paid per request.
How to Change Mobile Number and Address in Aadhaar Card Online
From the UIDAI website , we have checked and we have explained the complete step by step process below that how you can update Aadhaar card sitting at home through Online Self Service Update Portal (SSUP) or get new details or can add new details.
step 1). First of all visit the official website of UIDAI https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/
Step 2). After this you have to click on the option of ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’.
Step 3). Now Provide Your Relevant Credentials Online, Means Enter Aadhar Number and Verify Captcha.
Step 4). Now you have to tap on the button of ‘Send OTP’.
Step 5). Once you click on ‘Send OTP’, you will get a six digit OTP on your registered mobile number.
Step 6). Now enter the OTP and after that you will be allowed to update your demographic data.
Step 7). Now make any changes you want to make here and submit them by clicking on ‘Proceed’.
Step 8). Upload the required documents to update the changes requested by you.
Step 9). Submit, check and verify the changes made atleast once.
Step 10). After clicking on submit, you will be given an Update Request Number (URN) at the end. With this URN number, you can check the status of your Aadhaar change that made.
If you want a reprint after changing your Aadhar card, then visit https://resident.uidai.gov.in/aadhaar-reprint. Verify the Aadhar card and you will be asked to deposit the reprint charges. You can make this payment by credit, debit card, net banking or UPI. After making the payment, the acknowledgment page will open which you can save as a reference in PDF form. Your Aadhar card will be sent to the address mentioned in the card.
